Shaderunners
Shaderunners is an ongoing webcomic drawn by Alex Assan and written by Lin Darrow. The comic is set in an alternate 1920s where the prohibition of alcohol is instead a prohibition of colour, and the story follows a group of bootleggers who steal shade from the rich in hopes of opening a colour speakeasy.
The comic launched in July 2015 with an update schedule of two pages per week. It was published by Hiveworks Comics from 2017 to 2025, and is currently part of the Chimera Comics Collective. It was nominated for a DiNKy Award in the 'Best Web Comic' category in 2018, as well as a PRISM Award for Excellence In LGBTQ+ Comics in the Webcomic category in 2021.
